By Captain Christopher Harris
December 7, 2015

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Union Bridge Fire Company and the Union Bridge Fire Company, sadly announce the passing of lifetime member Mrs. Isabelle Romaine Graham, age 91, on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Isabelle was born September 8, 1924 in Carroll County, a daughter of the late Walter and Deborah Bostian Reaver.

She was the wife of Gerald A. "Dick" Graham, also a member of the fire company and auxiliary, who died in 2007.

She was a very active life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Union Bridge Fire Company, where she served as Treasurer for 56 years. She had also served as President of the Carroll County Ladies Auxiliary Association. She worked for H. L. Hartz Sewing Factory in Frederick for 44 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed needlework, word search and jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and families.

Formerly, she and her husband lived just outside of Union Bridge on Good Intent Road. She had been a resident of Heartfields Assisted Living at Frederick since September 2011.

The family will receive friends at the D. D. Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway in Union Bridge, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 and a Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Union Bridge Fire Company.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, also at the D. D. Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway in Union Bridge, with Rev. Richard L. Michael, pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, Union Bridge, officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Union Bridge.

The Officers and members of both the Ladies Auxiliary and the Union Bridge Fire Company extend our deepest sympathy to Isabelle's family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Bridge Fire Company, P.O. Box 1050, Union Bridge, MD 21791. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/fredericknewspost/obituary.aspx?n=isabelle-graham&pid=176786597&fhid=18383#sthash.75TjZzj1.dpuf
