After successfully completing pre-hiring requirements for Montgomery County, Maryland; Union Bridge Firefighter Matt Storey, has been hired as a "Firefighter Recruit" for the Montgomery County Department of Fire and Rescue Services (MCDFRS). He has recieved his "new recruit uniforms" and will begin the 26 week Fire Academy on January 14, 2013. The class graduation will be held on July 12, 2013.
Matt has been a member of Union Bridge for more than 10 years as both a Junior and Senior member, but he has been hanging around the fire station for nearly his whole life. He is also a member of the Westminster Fire Department.
