Frederick County Box Alarm 16-10. At 2244hrs., Engine/Tanker 84 and Engine/Tanker 54 were dispatched to assist Frederick County units on a barn fire at 11438 Creagerstown Road, just outside of Woodsboro. The units were dispatched as part of a "Tanker Task Force".

On arrival, units were placed into a 'Tanker Shuttle'. Crews went back to the scene to assist with extinguishment. Chief 8 was tasked as the "Fire Attack" Officer by 'Command'. Attack lines were repositioned and he confirmed that an attached silo was not involved. An aerial device (Quint 11 - Walkersville) was placed in-service to allow for safer operations and easier access to 'pockets' of fire that were inaccessible by handlines.

The barn was a complete loss. Engine/Tanker 84 returned to the station by 0300hrs. Frederick County officials are working to determine the cause of the fire.
