Mobile Home Fire in Frederick County

FC Box 17-9. At approximately 1730 hrs, Station 8 units were alerted to assist Frederick County for a mobile home on fire in the 13000 block of Coppermine Rd. Engine 81, Rescue Squad 8 and Engine Tanker 84 responded on the initial alarm, with Ambulance 89 added to the assignment shortly after.

Frederick County Chief 17-1 arrived on scene to report a small mobile RV trailer on fire with possible exposure to a barn. The RIT dispatch along with a Tanker Task Force were requested. The fire was placed under control within ten minutes of FC Engine 171's arrival. FC Chief 17-1 placed the assignment in service, holding FC Engine 171, FC Engine 161 and Engine 81.

Units operated on scene for about an hour. The cause of the fire was undetermined but is under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshall's Office.
