The rain held off for a little while yesterday, giving enough time for the Annual Firemen's Parade to be held as scheduled. A great turn-out by parade participants, as well as parade observers, made for a successful annual event.

The parade started at 7:00 PM at the intersection of Route 75 and N. Main Street, then continued down Main Street, through the square, onto West Broadway, then Whyte Street and ended at the fire station. More than 50 participants were in the parade.

After careful tabulation of all the participants by the Judge's, prizes were awarded at 9:00 PM on the carnival grounds. The winner's were:

Congratulations to all of the winner's. The Judge's had to make some hard decisions before making their final selections. The Parade Committee and Judge's would like to thank ALL of the parade participants for their fine presentations and hope that everyone will be back next year.

Not long after the prizes were announced, the rain came down and the carnival grounds cleared out quickly. Weather forecasts are making things shaky for Thursday night, but Friday and Saturday are looking good with mild temperatures and no rain. We hope everyone will bring the family out for our last 3 nights to get some great food, play fun games and even get on some rides.
