Rescue Squad 8 will again participate in the "Lowe's Safety Saturday" at Lowe's in Westminster on August 27, 2011. The event, sponsored by Lowe's, will be held in the parking lot, just as they did last year. Fire, Rescue and EMS units from across Carroll County, will join other county public safety agencies to demonstrate the capabilities that we can provide to our citizens and visitors here in Carroll County.

Like last year, Rescue Squad 8's crew will provide tours of the unit and answer questions concerning what we do and how we do it, along with a demonstration of a vehicle extrication response.

Kids can have a great time at this event by getting a chance to see what Fire, Rescue, EMS and Police agencies do to help people as well as having a chance to see Fire and Police equipment up close and personal. Safety advice will be provided as well. Also, different hands-on projects will be available to visitors, that are sponsored by Lowe's.

We encourage everyone to join us so that we may show you what we do and maybe even get some safety tips on fire prevention. Hope to see you there!!!!
