Only two more weeks before the 2011 Carnival seasons begins and Union Bridge is preparing for another great week of entertainment, rides, games and FOOD! Since 1887, the Union Bridge Fire Company has held a festival/carnival during first week of June. When Memorial Day was proclaimed for the last Monday in May, we have held our carnival during 'Memorial Day' week. The long lasting tradition is the fire company's biggest fundraiser of the year and we depend on the proceeds to help us provide service to the community. For more information about how fundraisers help us to help our community, visit the "Finance" section of our website.

Starting at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day), the rides, games and food buildings will be opened for your entertainment and enjoyment. Also starting at 6:00 PM is the VFW Post 8806 "Memorial Day Service" that is being held just across from the Fire Station. This service memorializes the men and women who have served our country with great sacrifice.

The entertainment line-up for the week includes;

Monday, May 30 - Bob Plunkert & Real Country (Country)
Tuesday, May 31 - Wylde Fire (Country Variety)
Wednesday, June 1 - FIREMEN'S PARADE (Starts at 7:00 PM sharp)

One last thing. As a social reminder concerning our rules on the Carnival Grounds and Fire Company property, all patrons must have shoes and shirts, no under-age tobacco use, no open alchol containers and no pets (Exception - Service Dogs)!!!! We also ask that each patron remember that this is a family oriented event and to refrain from boisterous profanity or from creating an unfriendly atmosphere. Violators may be asked to leave or escorted from the property. The Carroll County Sheriffs Office will be providing security.

PARKING
A large parking area is available across the street from the fire station and on the lot at Town Hall. We understand that when the lot is filled, our patrons will need to find parking on the side streets. We would ask that you be considerate to our neighbors by not parking in or in front of their driveways or on their property.
