| It is with profound sadness, the Union Bridge Fire Company, Inc. announces the passing of Active Honorary Life Member David N. Warehime on August 24, 2026. Dave has been a member of the fire company since January, 1982; serving for 44 years. Dave was an emergency responder in his early years as a member of the company and served as a Trustee for many years. He helped at countless fundraisers including Sunday Breakfasts, Bingo’s and the Pit Beef stand during our annual carnivals and other events.
Dave was employed at Crouse Ford in Taneytown for many years and then worked for Mason Dixon Auto Parts (NAPA) delivering parts until recently. He is married to our company’s Recording Secretary, Barb Warehime.
The officers and members of the company extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Barb and the rest of Dave’s family and friends.
The Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 30th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Locust Street, Union Bridge, MD. A Fire Department Memorial Service will be at 7:30 PM that same night.
The Funeral will be at the same location on Monday, August 31st at 10:00 AM, followed by a gathering at the Fire Station with a meal.
