Frederick County Box 9-4. At 17:36hrs, Station 8 units were alerted to assist Frederick County DFRS units on a House Fire in the 11000 block of Renner Road. While enroute, first arriving units advised they had a large house, 95% involved with one vehicle in the driveway.

Engine 81 arrived and placed themselves in the driveway, pulling an attack line to the "B/C" side of the dwelling. All units were advised by Command that this was a "Defensive" fire. Rescue Squad 8 arrived and joined Engine 81's crew. After a few minutes of flowing water from FC Quint 11's aerial platform, the crews from Engine 81 and Rescue Squad 8 entered the "B" side deck to perform a primary search for any possible victims. Access was also verified through a "C" side slider, at which time crews used to try to extinguish a majority of the fire with handlines. A hole was also made in the ceiling of the A/B" corner room to assist with extinguishing the fire in the attic space above that side of the house.

Crews were pulled out after the primary search was negative and after a few minutes, all of the occupants were accounted for. The fire was under control after about 1 hour. Around 40 firefighters from Frederick and Carroll Counties were at the scene.

The last Station 8 units cleared the scene at around 22:00hrs. There were no reported injuries. The Frederick County Fire Marshals are investigating the incident.
