As a daughter of Jack Gray, the UBFD was an integral part of our family's life. Because of that, I occasionally check-in on your organization on-line.
I was notified of the sad passing of Jack Harris at the time, but just read his obituary on your site. Jack was a fine man with a big heart & wonderful sense of humor. He & Betty were such good friends with my parents that they were like family. I was touched & happy when I read the acknowledgement of Jack & Dad's friendship in the obit you wrote.
They were quite the team in their efforts to help build & grow the UBFD! As Chief & Asst Chief, I recall them spending many hours both on & off-site discussing the growth & well-being of your organization. They were selfless in their efforts to expand & improve UBFD services to the community.
Thank you for honoring their friendship & teamwork in your remembrance of Jack Harris. That was very kind.
Additionally, I'm certain that Dad "looks down" at the UBFD with pride at the many dedicated & accomplished members who maintain & grow the organization he was so proud to be a part of!

Thank you !!
