Frederick Co. Box 16-15. At 0316 hrs, Station 8 was dispatched to assist on a barn fire at 11340 Dublin Road outside of Woodsboro. Engine 81 and Engine/Tanker 84 were dispatched as part of a "Tanker Task Force" and Rescue Squad 8 was dispatched as part of a "Rapid Intervention Dispatch". The fire was contained to a milking parlor and hay storage barn.

Upon arrival, Engine/Tanker 84 and Rescue Squad 8's crews were assigned to assist with the setup of a "Tanker Dump Site". At one point, one of the portable tanks was damaged and needed to be replaced. With crews needing water quickly, Engine/Tanker 84 was setup as a 'nurse tanker' while other crews reestablished the "Tanker Dump Site" and setup drafting sites at nearby creeks.

Crews on the fireground used handlines, portable monitors and for a short time, an aerial device, to knock the fire down. After about 2 hours and after the roof had collapsed, the assignment was scaled back as crews used handlines to extinguish hay that had been removed from the debris.

Engine/Tanker 84 cleared the scene at around 0600 hours. Other units were clearing the scene soon after.
