| Frederick County Box 17-36. Station 8 units were dispatch to 11804 Green Valley Road (Route 75) at 1032 hrs for a chimney fire. First arriving Engine 81 reported a 2 story, single family dwelling with nothing evident and began to investigate the chimney fire. The resident said that after adding a log to the wood furnace in the basement, she noticed a "crackling" sound in the exhaust pipe and that the pipe itself was red in color. Engine 81's crew pulled the pipe out and found that it was choked with debris that had already burned itself out. Units were placed in-service after it was determined there was no extension of fire outside of the pipe and no damage occurred to the residence. Engine/Tanker 82's crew assisted Frederick County Engine 172 with reloading supply line. Engine 81 cleared the scene at 1110 hrs. |
