Frederick County Box 9-14. At 05:03hrs, Station 8 units were dispatched to assist Frederick County Station 9 (New Midway) for a house fire located at 13140 Hiney Rd. First units on the scene, advised of a well involved house fire with exposures. Command was established and the “Rapid Intervention Dispatch” was requested, as well as a “Tanker Task Force”. Initially, live power wires on the ground, altered a normal fire attack.

Crews began exposure protection and were able to affect a “Defensive Attack” while awaiting additional units to arrive. A water supply was established from a near-by pond. Crews operated on the scene for several hours.

The residence was a total loss. There were no reports of injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshal Division.
