Progress on the new engine/tanker is under way. The chassis was moved into the “Pump Installation Bay” on Friday, 10/20/15. A Waterous CSU150 (1500 GPM) pump was installed on the chassis during the week of 10/23/15 and moved back into the plant yard on 10/30, awaiting a space in the “Body Fabrication Bays”.
The dealer, Bob Pursel (Commonwealth Fire Equipment), said that the cutting and bending of metal would begin this week (11/2/15) and that the body fabrication should begin by around November 9.
Below are pictures of the chassis and the installed pump. We are hoping to get some new pictures by the end of next week showing the body fabrication progress.
Though things are going quickly now, as the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach, the plant shuts down to allow employees to spend time with their families. With this in mind, we don't expect to see the new unit ready until sometime in January of 2016. Keep checking back for new updates on the progress.

Driver Side - The chassis and pump were moved out of "Pump Installation Bay" on 10/30/15. (It should be noted that not only is the pump installed on the chassis, but that it is also connected to the transmission and all wiring harnesses from the cab to the pump area are also installed.)
